With students at Berger Park after a Summer 2019 recital

Passionate about arts education, Sacha teaches private voice coaching and piano lessons to people of various skill sets, and is willing to work on a sliding scale. For information/inquiries, please email him using this form. Sessions are tailored to the individual students’ needs, and often include breath work, mic technique, phonetics, posture, critical listening, music history, and applied theory. (Armchair therapy, notwithstanding.) At this time, all sessions are done virtually through Zoom or Google Meet.

He is also available via Chicago’s historic Berger Park Cultural Center, working as part of an arts partnership with Hollis Hahn and Kyle Gilbertson. To set up lessons this way, please contact Hollis via the Ultimate School of Guitar.

Sacha is an alumnus of the Perpich Center For Arts Education’s music department (with an apprenticeship under composer Janika Vandervelde), and received a BM in Contemporary Music Performance from McNally Smith College of Music in 2010 (under the guidance of Judi Vinar, Lori Dokken, and Peter Schimke).

He has formally studied voice under Judi Vinar, Lori Dokken, Peggy Larson, Jill Marie Diem, Dessa Darling, and Jennifer Scovell-Parker; studied piano with Peter Schimke, Kristin Sponcia, Lubomir Daskalov, and Linda Chacholiades; and composition/arrangement with Sean Turner and Janika Vandervelde.

He began his professional career in the studio at 15, telecommuting vocals from Minnesota to Japan, recording session vocals and demonstration recordings for artists like Gabriele Roberto. As a guest artist, Sacha has taught classes at Walter Payton High School and Columbia College, and in his early career, was once a consultant/talent scout for several episodes of Marathon Productions’ America’s Got Talent and X-Factor USA. Clients have included many talented Chicago-based artists, such as My Gold Mask and Lazar Malko, to various soloists from the Lyric Opera.
